The HSE have again granted Woods with a further 3 year asbestos licence.
This is the maximum period a licence may be granted and further demonstrates that we have the necessary skills, competency, expertise, knowledge and experience to work with asbestos, together with excellent health and safety management systems.
Asbestos is classified as a category 1 carcinogen with asbestos related disease causing around 5000 deaths every year in the UK. Work with asbestos requires a high degree of regulatory control and the purpose of licencing is to achieve this.
