Woods has been working with Luton Borough Council (LBC) since 2005, as their sole provider of asbestos removal services.
LBC is responsible for the maintenance and management of approximately 8,500 affordable housing properties.
Asbestos removal is carried out to a cross-section of these buildings across the Borough including low, medium and high rise constructions.
The works required can be part of bathroom replacement programmes, kitchen replacement programmes, boiler replacement programmes, planned maintenance works or responsive maintenance works.
All works are procured through a schedule of rates and work is allocated by way of both planned and reactive maintenance with site staff employed on this contract on a daily basis. The contract also requires Woods to provide a reinstatement service post removal works.

All staff are continuously assessed through audit and competency assessment carried out by our Compliance Team, Managers and Site Supervisors. This information is gathered to enable us to produce a relevant training needs analysis (TNA) programme delivered using our state of the art training facility to ensure that all individuals' needs are met.
