Fulham Football Club has redeveloped their Riverside Stand that sits on the River Thames increasing the capacity of Craven Cottage to 30,000.
To facilitate this redevelopment we were commissioned to carry out asbestos removal to the undercroft running the entire length of the original Riverside Stand.
The undercroft was contaminated and contained sprayed asbestos debris mixed within the soil that was present around support columns, trenches and above the very original concrete terracing that sat beneath the existing stand.
Beams that supported the original stand also contained sprayed residues beneath the existing fire protection and also required removal.
Works were phased around match days and functions and some phases included out of hours shifts to ensure work could be completed on time.
